Sri Lanka Energy Managers Association (SLEMA) was founded in 1984 by a group of professionals, to promote efficiency and rational use of energy in Sri Lanka.
In 1994, SLEMA was incorporated by an Act of Parliament. SLEMA regularly conducts extensive training courses, research, general awareness programs and consultancy in energy and related fields. SLEMA also participates in international and regional research projects on energy planning, management and environment impacts of energy conservation.
To serve as a forum for information exchange on Energy Management practices.
To encourage and promote Energy Management practices in Sri Lanka.
To provide adequate and up-to-date information on effective Energy Management techniques.
To encourage consultancy services on Energy Management.
